We’re inviting photographers—amateur and professional alike—to capture the spirit of Bristol.
Whether it’s vibrant street art, local landmarks, community gatherings, or the diverse people who bring the city to life, your images could feature in our special 2026 calendar.
Proceeds will directly support Bristol’s food banks across the city.

What is the Bristol: Places and People Competition?
Every year, Bristol’s three major food banks collectively provide thousands of emergency food parcels to local people in crisis.
We believe that Bristol is a creative, caring city, brimming with talent and personality. Through this calendar competition, we aim to showcase the beauty and diversity of our home, while raising funds and awareness to tackle hunger in our community.

Anyone! Both amateur and professional photographers are welcome.

Winners will be printed in the 2026 calendar, so higher resolution is always better. Read the Guidelines:
Ensure your photograph aligns with the theme, meets quality requirements, and complies with Terms & Conditions.

Complete the Submission Form:
Fill in your name, contact details, and brief descriptions or titles of your images.

Upload Your Photos:
You may upload up to three photos. Each file should be clearly labelled with your name and the title of the image.

Agree to the Terms & Conditions:
Check the box to confirm your acceptance of usage rights.

Submit and Receive Confirmation:
We’ll email you a confirmation once we’ve received your submission.

Sales for our 2026 “Bristol: Places and People” Calendar will officially open in November 2025!
When you buy a copy, you’ll help keep our city’s food banks stocked and ready to serve. We’ll have online ordering, as well as in-person purchase options at select Bristol retailers.
